Mama told me a  hard lesson is a lesson you won't forget

Hello and thanks for stopping by. I 'm fascinated by the people in the Bible. To me, they're not characters from a Cecil B. DeMille movie but real people in all their glorious dysfunction. They are you and me. They are there I think  to remind us that God has seen and heard it all, our pure, profane, scheming, selfish, trusting, fearless, fearful, temperamental and cruel selves to which he sent his son Jesus Christ. I wrote about Leah, Michal and Athaliah because when I read about them; I found out more about me.

I'm at a point in my life where I have a lot of road behind me but the journey is far from over.  The Homicidal, Obsessive and Delusional Women of the Old Testament is my way of surveying the trip thus far. Leah, Michal and Athaliah represent the missed exits and wrong turns I've taken along the way either from lack of paying attention or insisting on shortcuts. In reading and writing about these three women, I learned somethings about myself, not always pleasant but all for the good for my personal growth. Leah, Michal and Athaliah taught me some hard and painful lessons and I hope they will do the same for you so we can go forward stronger and wiser, ready to run on to see what the end will be.
